Oh hey, I remember drawing this. If I’m not mistaken, the next one from me will have a really ugly face, I thought that having nostrils stick out was a cool idea at the time.
Anonymous said: I think you mentioned tips about being lazy with art? Well, not being able to sit down and dedicate some time to work is definitely not a must early on, but will be once you progress into becoming a professional. Until then, sketch books are your absolute BFFs. Get Whatever size is best for you (personally I prefer small ones I can doodle in and keep in my backpack/pocket) and draw whenever you see something that makes you feel inspired. Take it everywhere and draw whenever you feel like it.
Well, the problem with me is that I’m not “early on”. I’ve been drawing for over 3 years now and I’m still somewhat of a beginner. Granted, I went through some harsh shit in that time, meaning I didn’t have neither the time nor the motivation to draw. I only really started progressing with art in the last few months, but I don’t really have this sort of passion for it like I used to back when I was taking my baby steps.
Most of the time I have no satisfaction after finishing any kind of work, and that’s one of the bigger problems for me (Back when I was doing Ask-Nokia, I was at least getting that friendly pat on the back in the form of a few notes, but that also gave me stupid expectations.).
As for the sketchbook thing, I’ve downloaded a cool drawing application for the Nintendo DS and it’s really cool for basic sketching and painting on the go. Gonna try to use it a lot once I get some screen protection.
Any tips to stop being so lazy with drawing? I can rarely ever sit down and focus on art for more than a few minutes.
Playing around with comic styles, also species+clothing design attempt for Nokia.
Yes. Those are hands.
